Therapeutic Style: Anna sees each client as a whole person with unique experiences, perspectives, and emotions. She strives to build authentic, trusting relationships where a client feels free and supported to explore their emotions, learn healthy coping skills, and build strong support systems outside of therapy. Her goal is to work with clients and help them grow so that she is no longer needed. She works from a person-centered framework integrated with DBT and/or a trauma-focused approach when needed.
Educational History: Anna graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Brain & Behavioral Science and a B.S. in Human Development. She then attended and graduated from Vanderbilt University with a M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Certifications/Experience: Anna gained valuable experience as an intern at Joint Base San Antonio, where she worked alongside Military Life & Family Counselors to support children and families across all three bases. She also served as an intern at a Child Advocacy Center, where she provided care to children and families in need. Anna began her journey at The Village of Kairos as an intern and has since grown into her current role as a Senior Village Partner. She is trained in comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Favorite Self-Care: Reading, Hot Yoga, Being in the sun (preferably while on a beach), watching funny TikTok videos, and listening to live music.
Hobbies: Dancing, playing with her mini dachshund Henry, watching the Titans win football games, Weight lifting, and cooking
